I love soccer. I’ve always had a passion for it. It’s been a long road. I have had many experiences with soccer. When I saw I had to choose my topic for the class projects, it was a no brainer. I’ve played on recreational teams as a kid. Select teams as a teenager and my high school team throughout the years. Even past this, I’ve coached a youth team. What a shock that was to realize. I was in those kid shoes. Learning what I liked. I loved giving those kids the opportunity to get out there, play some soccer, be kids and have fun. This leads into my project. I want to have that cycle keep repeating throughout the years. Soccer is the world’s game. It’s played in every corner of the globe. It’s played in almost every town. It helps kids learn about life, sportsmanship and about being active. They need that leader though. A coach who can help guide them and give them the opportunity. Being a coach is so rewarding. You get to watch the kids get out there and give a sport a try. Or, give a sport their all. You help them grow as players. As athletes. But, most importantly, as kids. Everything you do in your childhood leads into your life. Giving them those good memories to look back on is a service that is unrepayable. Even more than just memories, you give them a sense of communion. They feel like they have a place. They have people they can trust. If they have tough family lives. This helps them out immensely. Even if they have a perfect home life, it only enhances their lives. They also gain friendships that can stay with them for the remainder of their lives. My college roommate is a friend of mine who I’ve played soccer with for years on recreational teams and on the high school team. My project is a poster to hope to keep this cycle of amazing memories, friendships, and lives.

Overall I think this draft is really well done, I like the clear writing fonts and big letters. I also like the pictures that you decided to incorporate in the poster, they fit well! A couple of areas that I think you could improve on are maybe sticking to one colour for the titles or using more solid colours like black or white for them just because the background is already green. Also I think maybe adding some smaller images like mini soccer balls or
some cones just for decoration would always look good!

At the time of writing I only have one comment of critiques. Despite this, I see plenty of problems in my project. I am excited having seen other projects because I realize that I definingly have work to do. My thoughts were alright, but the presentation of my project wasn’t great. I can see the flaw in the border I have on my project and the colors. With more time and photos, I feel I can revise and make my project far better than it is in its current state. I am excited to get more photos and ideas and complete my final project and fix the multitude of flaws I now see in my project. I have soccer on Thursday and plan on getting more personal photos to work with in my project which can take it to a better place.

The layout of this project is very easy to read and understand. The message is directly in your face which makes the project very straightforward. Some things I think could be improved on is the color choice. In the project there is a whole lot of green, by having more varying colors, attention is gained more easily. Also, the images could be formatted differently to either fit perfectly into the green page separator, or leave space between the images and the bottom green border. By making some of these changes, at least to me, your project would look more professional. It also seems like you did not use your own pictures for this project, having yourself as an example as a soccer coach anywhere on the project would be beneficial because then the reader would know this information is coming from a youth soccer coach with experience so they could be more inclined to actually become a coach. (I know you go over this in your post, but in the actual project it would be more beneficial).
