Premiere Draft

This is by far my roughest draft. I have been caught off guard with a sickness that has eaten away at my week. I am not happy with my progress so far, but I know where I want to go with this project and hope to achieve these goals when I get back into better health. The clips I have are of other times over the last few weeks that we have visited the recreation center. I wanted to get together with my friends and talk to them about the reasons they enjoy heading to the rec to play soccer. It is a place we head to often to go play soccer and to hang out. We always seem to meet someone new or get a game going with people around us. I feel it is a place that all of my friends and I enjoy and value on campus. I couldn’t get together with my friends and play soccer to record or to get interviews.

I look forward to being in better health and getting to get this project to a point where I am proud of it. I want to talk with my friends about what they enjoy about the indoor soccer and how it helps them in their lives. I also want to get better footage of my friends and I playing or of us with other people playing there to show its meaning. I feel with the time I have I will be able to improve and see the project I planned out come together in front of me.

In the time I spent to put this project together, I got sick to the point of just staying in bed and staying home from classes. I felt terrible for multiple days and could only make it from class to dorm. I was unable to go to see my friends due to my sickness. This led to me having a lack of video to work with and put together and be proud of. I used what I had to make something that minorly reflects where I want to go with my vision. I spent hours battling my phone and laptop to get videos off of my phone and into premiere. I wasn’t happy with where I was but I had to take care of myself. I want a lot more from this and I will work to get more out of it when the final comes around.

Audition Final

This project was extremely fun to create and work on. When I first started on the introduction pieces I was a little confused as I have never used this program before. I soon realized that I could have a lot of fun and create something great with this program. I read the requirements for the introduction projects and I sent a text out to my friends and got them together to ask them the question “What’s your favorite holiday tradition?” Went out to eat and had a good night. I brought them out and we sat together and I fed them the question and started recording their responses. I let them go and answer. I took their answers and edited them together. I had a great time with every piece of this project so, when the draft came around I decided to do something similar.

My topic is soccer because it’s the sport I’ve played my whole life and it has done so many things for me and helped me in a multitude of ways. So, I decided to create a question so I could keep on track with my topic and learn from my friends. I asked “Experiences they have had with soccer” I left it sort of vague so they could choose anything they clearly remember and would like to talk about. I loved getting together with my friends and learning about them. I put the pieces together and found some background music to put in that I felt fit. I also asked my roommate and switched out one of my friends answers because it wouldn’t fit in the time frame. I then looked at the comments on the draft and fixed a few little things to perfect my project. I’m really happy with the outcome.
