Final Video Story

This project was a roller coaster for me. I had struggled in the beginning of the tutorials. My phone seemed to be my only way to record and so I used it to get my start. It ended up being a difficult piece of technology to work with. Premier Pro had struggled to play and show my videos to me. I ended up having to sit for hours trying over and over to get the videos on my phone to my computer as it kept giving me errors. All of this led to me having problems just getting the tutorials done.

That week also came to be the week where sickness slapped me in the face. I got a soft sore throat that ended up evolving into a massive headache and cough that was uncontrollable. I went to the clinic on campus and was on medicine. I stayed in bed for a few days, working from home. I couldn’t go out and get videos for my project due to me being sick. I ended up turning in a draft that I was extremely unproud of. I felt terrible. I was worried about the final. But I went off on break and tried to get to feeling better.

This week, things turned around. I went to a hall meeting in Stimson. I had met an RA who was in Com 210 with me. I asked him what he does to record as I had been dealing with a boat load of problems on my phone. He told me about a place on the fourth floor of Avery Hall. I could go get a camera from them and rent it out. This advice was a life saver. I felt better, got together with my friends and got some interviews and clips that I was proud of. Exporting was a breeze. I got to go workout and feel good and get my work done all in one. I got to editing and this is my most favorite work that I have completed in this course.
